DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightSHANGHAI, Jul 26 (SMM) – South China's Guangdong province planned to construct more than 32,000 5G base stations by the end of this year, expanding 60% from its previous target of 20,000, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong told local media on Friday July 26.
There will be some 14,600 5G base stations in the provincial capital of Guangzhou, and 14,300 stations in Shenzhen.
The province has established 8,949 base stations by the end of June, according to sources at the 5G Innovation and Development Conference held on July 14.
